Betsy, a native Mississippian, but now a resident of Florida, has always been an artist. After leaving her career as an Interior Designer, she followed her first love of painting.

“I am inspired by all things around me whether it be the ocean, landscapes, birds, or something as simple as a stack of bowls. To form and create such things on a canvas is what I love.”

Betsy studies under Master Artist Bob Tompkins. She has also studied under Master Artists Roger Dale Brown and Stephanie Birdsall. Betsy is a member of Oil Painters of America, Mississippi Oil Painters Association, and Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County.

She was selected as a featured artist in the 2018 Juried Art Show of Mississippi and her painting “Winter Beach Walk” received The People’s Choice Award.

Her art is represented at Jackson Street Gallery in Ridgeland, MS, The Nicholson Gallery in Atlanta, GA, and The Foster Gallery in Miramar Beach, FL.
