Nicole spent her childhood roaming around “the farm,” a family shared land in northern Pennsylvania. She grew up playing with quails, spotting deer, watching the bats fly in at night, walking the trails and eating blackberries & building tree forts with her cousins. Her father, an avid hunter & fisherman, instilled in her a respect for nature, and a love for Philly sports at an early age. Following a 10 year career as a Licensed Athletic Trainer, Nicole launched a new business - MossHound Designs in 2015.
It wasn't until she met her husband that she realized her true passion and potential. His military career not only allows them to travel, but it is his fathers sheep farm that inspired Nicole to dive deeper into small batch, local sources of fiber. Craving a deeper connection within her work, Nicole started to focus on small batch artisan yarn, recycled and vintage fibers along with teaching clients about the joy of cultivating artwork that is inspired by and respects the natural world.
