The Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA) of Walton County is excited to introduce a new Foster Gallery outreach partnership with The Freeport Library. Through these partnerships, local businesses and organizations provide dedicated spaces for CAA member artists to showcase and sell their work, expanding opportunities for creative expression in the community.
Current Foster Gallery outreach exhibition locations include the Coastal Branch Library, Emerald Coast Theatre Company, and Point Washington Media Center.
To celebrate this new partnership, CAA and The Freeport Library are launching their inaugural artist call for the 2025 CAA x Freeport Library exhibit, themed "Coastal Landscapes." This exhibition will highlight the beauty and essence of coastal scenery, offering a platform for artists to share their unique interpretations.
CAA member artists are invited to submit their work for this exciting opportunity! Selected works will be displayed at The Freeport Library, one of our valued community partner locations, from April 25 – June 30, 2025.
Please study the criteria and submit an application ONLINE prior to 11:59 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
ABOUT THE FOSTER GALLERY Named in honor of Susan Foster, a founding member of the CAA, The Foster Gallery serves to provide dynamic spaces dedicated to showcasing the work of regional artists. Through rotating exhibitions, special showcases, and artist receptions, the gallery embodies the CAA’s commitment to supporting and celebrating local talent.

The Gallery @ Freeport Library Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 76 FL-20, Freeport, FL 32439
HOW IT WORKS Eight (8) to Twelve (12) artists will be selected for each themed exhibition. Artists are required to be current members of the CAA (members do not have to be local). Not a member yet? It's easy to join online.
Exhibiting artists may be asked to participate in additional paid and volunteer opportunities, including teaching a workshop, live demonstrations at events, participating in artist talks, and other opportunities at the Bayou Arts Center. Artists are encouraged to attend the rotation's opening reception - "Creative Cafe" at the Freeport Library.
The sales split is 60% artist and 40% CAA. The CAA is responsible for all overhead, including rent, utilities, commissions, marketing, event costs, and insurance of the gallery and its contents. In order to make a sale the gallery reserves the right to give a discount up to 10% to the buyer. All sales will be processed through the CAA, and artists will receive monthly settlements.
