POTTERY STUDIO
The Cultural Arts Alliance Pottery Studio is a haven for creativity, a space where imagination takes shape, and every piece tells a story. Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned potter we offer a spectrum of classes tailored to your skill level. The Studio has experienced incredible growth since its inception in 2019, thanks to support by Shawn & Richard Tomasello and the collaboration of many ceramic artists, especially Skip Deems and Megan Patterson. Starting with just two wheels and a kiln, the studio has expanded into a vibrant hub for 3D arts education, now boasting ten wheels, specialized equipment, monthly classes, specialty workshops, live demonstrations at CAA events, and an Open Studio program that includes offering firing services for the broader community. This growth reflects the CAA’s commitment to fostering creativity and meeting the increasing demand for accessible arts education.
The CAA is proud to promote a range of educational opportunities from pottery classes to a dedicated studio space for beginner, emerging and professional artists. Visit us for wheel and hand building speciality workshops, one day classes, commit to a multi-week course, or simply claim your own spot within our monthly Open Studio membership of like-minded ceramics enthusiasts who share a love for the hand-made and the beautiful. Led by CAA Pottery Studio lead instructor and ceramic artist Jessica Batson, membership includes working space on dedicated days, supplies and a storage shelf. We also offer outside firing services when you purchase clay from us. Browse and register for classes through our online calendar.
Please note that all participating artists must be 18+*, artists who wish to join the open studio membership must have basic clay experience, and artists who wish to work on the wheel during open studio time must have the beginners training.
