Based in Santa Rosa Beach, Renee Broxson is a mixed-media artist primarily using acrylic paint. She incorporates different collage elements, such as old handwritten letters, cards, bills, or anything with a story attached to her art. This story may get buried under the layers, but the history and inspiration remain in the finished painting. Some areas come peeking through and others turn into areas of texture. Her constant desire to learn and become a more accomplished artist influences Renee's art. She is driven to produce art with which she has struggled and fought, but at the same time enjoys taking risks along the way. She derives satisfaction from the final product as a result of her process. She firmly believes that there are no mistakes - only learning experiences. Renee loves both figurative and abstract work.
