  • Sealed Fate

CON-SCIOUS EXPRESSIONS Timothy Kirkland Sealed Fate Thirty long years I’ve been alone Living in a cell I’ve come to call home My only belongings, a few pictures I keep Of mom, my brother, little sister and more My world it’s small inside this fence Yet to live here forever, that’s my sentence My Identity was taken, along with my Pride My names now a number for the rest of my life My fate it’s sealed, sad but true I’ll never know love, or the warmth of a hug Never again will I feel a woman’s gentle touch They tell me I’ll die alone in my cell I’ve called it home, but really it’s a living hell. - Timothy Kirkland Previous BACK TO EXHIBIT Next

  • Bill Chambers

VIEW GALLERY ART Bill Chambers I am a professional nature photographer based out of Milton, Florida and the owner of Simply Nature Art. I was born and reared in Alabama and moved to Gulf Breeze in 1983 and have called Florida home ever since. I can usually be found photographing the beautiful beaches of Santa Rosa Island or in my favorite places, the marshes and swamps in the panhandle and central Florida. I shoot what pleases me, in a style that’s comfortable for me. It’s very important to me to stress the fragility of nature, especially here in Florida. Our beautiful beaches have been ravaged by development, nature’s fury, and lack of human understanding. Our natural springs are suffering greatly under the strain of nitrate pollution, over-pumping for irrigation, and from over development. We lose more and more of natural Florida every day and soon enough there will be precious little remaining. I plead for everyone to become involved in saving what remains of the REAL Florida. I am a proud member of both Nature First and the North American Nature Photography Association. Both organizations promote strong ethical behavior in terms of prioritizing the well-being of nature, animals, and the environment over photography. https://www.simplynatureart.com/

  • Nancy Jones Hayes

VIEW GALLERY ART Nancy Jones Hayes I am a ceramic artist who grew up in the Walton/Okaloosa County area and am currently living in Destin, FL. I work mainly with stoneware and porcelain clays and have a mild obsession with making flowers. Creating them brings me to a meditative state and the flowers evolve as they are ‘called to be’ with no two alike. Some pieces include one or two....some have 100s. When I start to create a piece, I only have a rough concept of what it might be. Each piece slowly evolves and changes and I am always surprised by the end results. Reflecting real life, the piece is sometimes far from what it started out to be. I have enjoyed training and learning techniques from both ceramic and fine artists and from observing the works of ancient Masters. I am drawn to the colors of the beautiful Florida Emerald Coast waters. My glaze palette often includes the variations of those colors I observe daily. https://www.shugspottery.com/
